hmm, I disagree. for example, I still love 'the fame' and 'the fame monster,' but so many of the songs on those albums have that very specific RedOne sound that (for me, anyway) is so closely tied to 2008-2009.

Complicated has aged pretty well imo as it was released in summer 2002 but still getting around 4000 spins weekly in US radio, has nearly 30 million streaming on Spotify, gaining around 500k-600k views weekly on youtube and selling over 1,1 million digital copies in US alone. And general public still remember it.

Besides, GirlFriend, My Happy Ending and When You're Gone has aged pretty well too.

GirlFriend is not getting recurrent airplay or sales the way My Happy Ending or Complicated get but it's definitely giving Avril a recognition. And the video is still getting nearly 1 million weekly which is pretty huge for a 2007 mv.



When You're gone has aged surprisingly well in comparison with a moderate success it had. The MV was released in 2007 but still gaining huge views on VEVO (around 700-800k weekly).



My Happy Ending is the single that has the best recurrent sales (1.3 million copies sold digitally). The single was released in 2004 when digital sales was still minimum but still managed to sell 1.2 million copies digitally.
