Jessica Simpson might be a permanent judge on American Idol
Page 6 of "New York Post" is reporting that pop singer and actress Jessica Simpson is being pushed by her father/manager Joe Simpson to be a permanent judge on "American Idol" as the perfect replacement for Paula Abdul.
I really hope she becomes the new judge, I love her.
God I hope not Mary would be a much better judge but unlike Jessica she has a career and can actually sing so she will be more busy with her new album, etc. But if this true we found a judge that can fit the stupidity of Paula.
The media will keep juggling around different artists' names in order to keep fans and critics alike interested, because they know that it's possible for the show's ratings to most likely plummet now that one of the greatest choreographers is no longer there. American Idol will continue to do this until they find a face as friendly and recognizable as Paula's or until they give Ms. Abdul an offer that she won't refuse (this time around).
Something tells me that this is much ado about nothing at that Paula will somehow be back mid-way into the season. If not, AI will stick to Plan B. Regardless, I will miss Paula, but I will also enjoy the variety of other celebrities that will join American Idol panel for the time being.
Let's face it - A.i. will crash and destruct without Paula, no matter how many people want to dispute it. It's a fact.
I know I may sound like a stan, but the thing I even know about Paula Abdul is that she was a cable talent show judge; that, and that she had a briefly successful music and dancing career in the 80's that went under.
