I saw The Visit earlier today. It was ooooooooooooooooooookay, I guess. It had some really creepy moments, and the concept is really good, but it could have been executed so much better. Biggest issue is by far the pacing. It just takes so long for the plot to get moving. For a good majority of the film there's only the occasional scare. It just moved way too slow. The twist is also obvious, and honestly it shouldn't have even been a twist. Revealing it right up front could've been used to help the pacing tremendously and set up a lot more tension. The rapping scenes were also painfully stupid.
It is overall okay, and it's probably M. Night's best movie in over a decade (cause that's saying a whole lot

Wasn't his last not-bad movie Unbreakable? I know Signs had a few fans but). It's just disappointing because it could've been really good, but it just feels like a lot of wasted potential.
