Liam Payne has ended up defending himself on Twitter as fans hit out at his comments in Attitude.
The interview isn't even out until Wednesday but Directioners have taken offence thanks to Payne's complaints about the Larry Stylinson phenomenon - fans believing that Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles are involved in a secret romance.
"When the [gay marriage] law changed in the US there were loads of rainbow flags flying at our shows, but I think that was mainly because people think of the Louis and Harry thing, which is absolutely nuts and drives me insane," he said.
"It's like when you know the ins and outs of what's going on with people, it's just annoying when it's so stupid..... It becomes like a conspiracy or a cult."
Payne also hit out at suggestions that Louis Tomlinson isn't really expecting a baby with Briana Jungwirth, saying: "He's very happy about becoming a dad. But the funny thing is, there are some people out there who think that Louis getting Briana pregnant is fake.
"That's it's not real; it's a cover up. And that's the sort of **** that gets to me. But you have to hold your tongue and that's fine."

It's funny I thought people appreciated honesty these days
I don't wanna offend his fans but he's too dumb. Honestly only Harry seems smart enough to make it in the industry solo. And maybe the blond one, too. Honestly I never see him say anything so I don't know.
