Gurl, it's widely known all these space pics are actualy composites because the cameras they send out to space aren't that powerful to capture UHQ pics so they have to sticht up all the data they receive from several shoots the camera captures and then release those composites as "HQ" pics to the public.
The black areas are the ones that weren't captured by the camera
Same applies to all those "false-color" space pictures
