I mean if she had the guts to change her sex facing the "judgement" of the whole world, that kinda means you've had enough of "what people might say" and start focusing on yourself and what/who you want to be. That's why I agree with Ellen.

Those saying she only "transformed her appearance, not her mind" are wrong. You need to change your whole point of view to make such a decision.

Caitlyn is woman not gay? Caitlyn lived as a republican white man for 60 years, she is bound to have ideas instilled into her throughout her life. I get why Caitlyn still has doubts about it. She said that she isn't against it either so.

Yeah, most Republican white men ain't supporting a man who decided to make a transition to a woman 60 something years into his life, so that point is moot. And whether or not she's gay, she's still apart of the LGBT community. The fact that she wants people to support this transition but she still holds this marriage idealism is quite telling. I don't know why people fell for this nonsense. She's connected to the Kardashians and nothing good comes from that.

It's not the first time Caitlyn appears to be fake. Before her comments on gay marriage, she also suggested that being lesbian would make her less of a woman and she needs to be in relationship with men to feel like a real woman. That screams with sexism/anti-feminism and homophobia. She expects acceptation from everyone and support from LGBT community and yet she once again says stuff that is borderline homophobic/sexist. You really can't blame people that they start to believe that Caitlyn is another game of Kardashian klan.

I don't really get the "but she just started living as a woman excuse". She's obviously known she was trans since at least the 80's, and still has known she was an "other" since then, so you'd think she'd have a more open mind.

Educate her Ellen, Howard, and Robin. What she expressed is very backwards and beyond ironic coming from her. And some of you need to chill with this with this "transphobic" **** when the reaction is very obviously towards Caitlyn's response on the issue as being one of ignorance regarding the cause behind equal marriage rights. The negative reaction from most of us has nothing to do with the fact that she is trans, but the simple fact that what she said sounded ignorant. If a cisgender woman said the same thing, the reactions from many of us would be the same.

(I'm not speaking for the idiot children in here who immediately call her "tranny" and "Bruce" again just because they're pissed, by the way, but more so those of us who are annoyed with her statements in general. It is not transphobic to simply disagree with her ignorant statements is my point.)

Everyone saying that is is a "process" and that we should give Caitlyn time as if for 60 years (Bruce confirmed this himself) he didn't even have TRADITIONAL thoughts? He wanted to be a woman since he was little. He was confused from the beginning and constantly fought that. He only went the traditional route because of social pressures. And now at a time that its widely accepted he decided to make the step. Caitlyn is extremely hypocritical for this statement because like Howard clocked, how can you sit here and say woe is me accept me, I'm different but I'm the same. Yet, make ignorant statements like that.

And for those throwing out transphobia (which is the biggest overused and MISused word here behind ICONIC and IMPACT) y'all really need to read a dictionary.

If I could I would report everyone in here calling her "he/him" or Bruce. I don't agree with many of her political stances, or her views on gay marriage but I'm not going to invalidate the identity of someone who is a part of an already marginalized group of people because of their backwards worldview.

Sadly I can see this happening I feel like they only did this for PR because people are starting to hate/get sick of the Kardashians.

I don't want to offend anyone, but My friend who is trans actually feels like a lot of LGBT issues don't affect her because she now considers herself a woman, and feels as tho they don't apply to her anymore... Which to me makes no ****ing sense... She will sit there and tell me that gays(males) have it harder and that it must suck she then makes it seem like it's a too bad soo sad type of situation for them... Like wtf.
