I kind of want to get an ipad to use as my main like laptop device and the ipad pro would probably be the most powerful now but it's really big isn't it lkjhgfdsfhk

Why are you opting for a iPad as a laptop device? Just get a windows or a gently used MacBook for the same price

I'm not getting any new Apple products. I'll wait till next fall. The changes are not worth $500+ dollars in my opinion.

Get the Surface Pro 3. It's like the only tablet that can really replace a laptop.

The new iPad is just a blow up version of the iPad Air 2. They didn't even optimize iOS for such a large device. And $99 for the "pencil" and $169 for the keyboard? A joke.

Um.. iOS on a Pro device? What are they smoking? They can't be bothered to install OSX on it?

I have an iMac so I don't need something to completely replace all the functionality of a computer and I want something portable.

I would've thought about buying an iPad Pro IF it ran OS X or some similar forked version. But iOS is too limiting in what it can actually do. You can't file manage, ran powerful image processing software, or even surf the web at its fullest. I can't believe how messy it is.

Crazy right? I honestly don't see who this device is aimed for and why anyone would choose it over a regular iPad.

I like the pen. plus this follows the MacBook stuff ...

Actually, alot of business' and schools use iOS as a default platform for all their needs..
Very few use Mac though.

So an iPad Pro is exactly what they would need. Apple aren't stupid. They know this will be huge.

The reason why the Surface didn't kick of like it should've was because it ran Windows 8.
Windows 10 may yield different results, but Apple have a big chance at winning with iOS.

Since the Apple pencil is bought separately though, I'm sure there is something coming for OSX too.

Ipad mini 4 is cute,but too expensive for this old hardware,i can and probably will get the air 2 for the same price here.The ipad pro is overpriced and just useless in my opinion.Surface makes more sense.

Surface pro is where it's at.

I own an iPad Mini 2 and I take that to school to use in place of my Macbook Pro (since I have the Mid 2012 model that isn't very light). Typing on screen in landscape mode is fairly easy too in my opinion lmao but if you don't like that there are some cheap cases on Amazon that have keyboards built in.

If you're worried about the Pro being too big you could just get an iPad Air 2 (but idk since they didn't talk about a new one at their event in September it might be best to wait on a new one to come out). You also should just go and play with iPads at the Apple Store ahead of time to determine which model you want.
