It reached top 10 in all the markets it charted in. Yes in Europe too! Its YouTube stats show it is more remembered than some singles from the same time period too (poor others!)

it was a hit, but not AS big a smash as everyone makes it out to be in quite a few markets. like, for one i'd say even telephone was a bigger hit in the uk than tik tok.

Yeah, that's why I was so surprised. Even Hold It Against Me felt bigger than Tik Tok here.

Both sold around the same in the UK. I mean maybe in some markets it wasn't as big but it still is one of the biggest songs of the decade
