Basically. I love Evanescance, but it's not like Amy Lee does anything Beyonce's can't. And for the most part, vice versa. She's very much a pop-esque, clean vocalist. I don't think anyone is suggesting Beyonce front a thrash/death/black metal band complete with death growls or anything like that The fact that she's been able to do soul effectively, considering the genre overlaps and has similar roots to rock (if anything see prince, tina, etc), not to mention the aforementioned covers, is proof that it's feasible she can pull it off.
