Imma be honest
I was really bored with her at first because I was just like "her music is a snoozefest and yeah she can sing but who cares"
I'm completely retracting that statement because the music industry more than ever needs talent. The talent is just so low nowadays, and good looks and a gimmick pretty much is enough to pass as a "pop star".
If somebody writes this girl some better music, I wholeheartedly believe she could really dominate. Like, even her Max Martin songs were subpar to say the least. If somebody were to write her a beautiful ballad or something....
I mean, her just sitting there and effortlessly singing Whitney Houston proves she has indisputable raw talent. She just needs to put more energy into her performances, and I don't mean like crazy Gaga/Nicki Minaj stuff, her VMA performance was a good example of much needed energy from her.
