True but it feels like no one is even trying at that level. Even if you can't be overt about it due to studio heads, there are always ways to make something subliminal. Like Nightmare on Elm Street II and all the homoeroticism and gay symbolism in that movie without ever going all out.

Lesbian movies usually focus on the emotional intimacy and the buildup of their characterization. They tend to be better characters in television/film because of this. Meanwhile we get dummies like Loras in GOT.
