A classic is fondly remembered and looked back at. Thriller, of all music video, was added on the same year as CiL and BOMT have twice as many views for an older song. No one can ever dispute that it's still a major classic among the current generation.
Yall keep bring up the movie but don't act like a REMIX version is going to have a massive impact on everything when CiL was already outstreaming BOMT. Literally the fact are scattered throughout the thread.
BOMT:
ATRL poll and biased opinions
Sales
vs
CiL:
Spotify
Vevo
iTunes
Radios
Movies
Critics

And again BOMT is 5 years older and pre-digital age
11 year old song that's still doing better but can't match its sales or success?
I'm totally confused of course it's gonna do better in streams its newer and beyonces currently more successful its 5 years older and more from the digital era then BOMT it was used on 2 huge films soundtracks Beyonce promoted it every given chance, Britney performes it in concert that's it.
It's like comparing apples and oranges.
Baby one more time clearly had the bigger impact and 4 times more success and as the hive keep constantly saying CIL11 years later its still selling and streamed but its yet to surpass baby one more times in actual success....
No ones gonna use Spotify streams when the songs brought up in let's say 10 years time but Britney's actually receipts attached to her debut and the impact will always be there when these girls gonna learn.
