Maybe the R3hab song?

Not getting my hopes up about that, though.

If handled correctly, that song can do wonders for her career. It will help her branch out to an audience that has either never heard of her or only knows 2 or 3 of her songs and it will give her a perfect launching pad to become a global pop artist, which seems to be what she wants kind of.

But it's been like 6 months since that concert and we still don't have the song, so... IDK.

I dont understand why R3hab would premiere a song on a festival and make fans wait a long ass time for the song. I hate him!!!

A lot of DJ's do this though. They premiere songs in live sets and release them months to sometimes a year later randomly

You really think it would flop? I think it's her best chance to get urban back on her side right now. And with a sick video in the vein of Like a Boy... showing her attitude and featuring hot dancing... it could slay. I mean, I don't think it'd be the biggest smash, but it could do pretty well.

I think the last time a Ciara song did better on rhythmic than on urban was Got Me Good. Even Overdose did better on urban iirc.

Well like I didn't expect DLWML to flop like this. Non-ciara (but music) fans were checking for it before it became a single and people enjoyed it after the video. I feel like anything from this album will flop unless she does a remix version with someone big.

Imo, Jackie (B.M.F.) and Only One are her last potential to smash. Also OWA could have an amazing video but that didn't exactly work out for DLWML so...

I'm just ready for the in-between eras at this point. Hopefully she'll use that time to figure out her strategy and sound like she did before Self-Titled. She clearly have the potential to excel (for her level) again, she just need to rediscover it and not mess up or get lazy.

Ciara needs to become a feature *****, jumping on everything from drake, j Cole, jay z, the weeknd, wiz khalifa... She needs to expose her brand to the masses again, though artists who are actually relevant, and build up that momentum in between eras so when she does cook up something worthy in the studio, people are checking for her.. Promoting those releases interestingly and in a conceptual way, will also help.. She also needs to learn to become innovative again. Promise, Goodies, Get Up, 1,2 Step, Body Party etc were all innovative and you couldn't really picture anyone else making those songs as they were so trademark Ciara. I Bet, DLWML, Only One, BMF and Kiss & Tell are the only "Ciara" songs from Jackie. The rest sound like rehashed demos and leftovers from 2010..

She also needs a massive radio tour just like another user said previously. That is the only way she is going to sell... Videos and Spotify are promising but not enough these days, you need radio, tv interviews, EVERYTHING. She also needs to remember that a blazing hot lead single is not enough, she needs to pick second singles wisely and actually follow through with the releases with confidence and urgency.. Not waiting months or releasing the totally wrong single. It's happened for far too long now. She needs better Mangement and a better publicist too, as I really don't understand how decisions are being made...

She really does need to do more features, though.
That's 1 huge thing that's missing from her career and has barred her success.

The song unfortunately didn't get any adds this week, so it's officially over. It will probably hang on with positive or stable updates for a few more days, but the few stations that are supporting it now will eventually drop it this week or next week.

Yep! It was sent to both urban and rhythmic on June 29th / 30th. It got a few adds on rhythmic and she even promoted it in 2 rhythmic stations, so IDK why they didn't even give it a chance... Messy

I really don't know DLWML sounds like a smash to me, yet it didn't happen

But yeah, starting the next era overseas would be a great idea imo. A rhythmic / pop friendly uptempo would be cool I suppose.
