Ok, so like the title asks, are you a broke student? I go to university where there seems to be a divide between the students who are broke and those who aren't. Are students really as poor as people make out?

Yes! And I understand what you're saying, about the division between the somewhat rich and completely broke students. My university works the same way

I'm not sure how university works in other countries but here in the UK you basically get money off the government for going to university. I've been saving almost all of mine but I have friends who are always nearing becoming broke, like gurl what are you spending it all on!?

You can say some are and some not. I am myself not a broke student simply because of my mom.

I do but so does my friend I mentioned, which makes it even more frustrating.

I wasted a lot of money on clothes and food at first and that kinda shocked me into not wasting anymore.

Someone on my course once told me I wasn't being a proper student as I've never gone into my overdraft. I gave them a surejan.gif look and then distanced myself when they were suddenly interested in becoming my friend
