Review aggregate Metacritic gave the album an 82 out of 100 based on 4 professional reviews, citing "universal acclaim." In a four-and-a-half star review from Alternative Press, Phil Freeman averring, "Crown The Empire have stepped up in a big way, with every aspect of The Resistance: Rise Of The Runaways coming across bigger, harder and just more than their full-length debut".
The album reached #7 on Billboard 200 albums chart, and was the #1 Rock album, #1 Heavy Metal album, and #1 Independent album on the charts. It also reached #5 on Top Digital.

I might give it a listen...
They are releasing a deluxe version with two new songs, and two new versions of songs on the album just so they have some music out for fans while they tour.. They are already halfway done with their new album..
I guess they did it as kind of a way to give exposure to the album while touring, while also releasing new music instead of just releasing an EP with a few songs. The single is stand alone on iTunes as well.
