James Arthur has teased a new album after revealing on Twitter that he has signed a new record deal.
The former X Factor winner parted ways with Simon Cowell's label SyCo in June last year and has since taken some time away from the spotlight.
The 27-year-old's tweets revealed that he has signed a "worldwide deal" with Columbia Germany and confirmed he will be releasing his second studio album next year.
He wrote: "After a crazy 15 months I'm so happy to be able to say that I've signed a worldwide deal with a major label and releasing album 2 in 2016

Thanks to @columbia_de @ColumbiaRecords can't wait to finish this album with you.
Ugh this Sith the Sloth tribute act needs to be STOPPED. His attrocious personality combined with his below average musical abilities and horrific songs make him the worst X-Factor winner EVER
not really.....Ella Henderson; now that is a insanely good voice, still think she deserved to win that year.
I just can't understand how someone could call him minimally talented, he's got such an amazing voice and pours emotion into every word he sings. Putting aside whatever social media drama and ignorant stuff he's said, he's got talent.
