I can understand people with the point of view that it is most important to teach people about physical health and fitness in the efforts to make our country less obese, and even those who have a kind of tough love approach to it. However, the way she expressed herself was ignorant as **** and she is clearly trying to get people riled up and get publicity from this. She is one of those people who prides themselves on being "shocking" and so "anti" and it's transparent and annoying. It's not easy for everyone to lose weight and keep it off. Just cause some people can don't expect everyone to easily do it and some overweight people are actually healthy despite being overweight in some cases. Skinny people ain't healthy either but you rarely see people shaming those.

I agree, but I think they were talking about fat/obese people, not simply those who are just overweight. Also skinny people get shamed all the time, it's not as severe as fat shaming, but it's also never taken seriously.
