This "Ciara doesn't do anything" argument is so annoying

The girl released an album, headlined a tour (with a second leg coming up), performed in festivals outside the US, gave us 2 singles and 3 videos and she DID promote both of them adequately, did plenty tv, radio and online interviews, attended as many high profile events as possible, performed at the BET's (a tribute, but still) and did a major fashion campaign and a good amount of photoshoots. Name one r&b artist (or even a pop girl outside of the small elite) that did that much.

She literally did the most she could do given the circumstances and the lukewarm response that radio and the public gave to her album and second single.

This. Like, just a few weeks ago, in late August, Ci did a sit down interview with CBS that kicked off with a conversation about her album that came out May 1. Very few R&B artists get a sit down with CBS the week their album comes out, let alone many months later. The Jackie promo campaign has been long and she's done a lot (especially considering where the album debuted in sales) so it's not cute to act like Ci just dropped the album and went on vacation.

Also, I still 100% love Jackie. My most played album this year.

All she needs to do is keep releasing singles, I'm sure one of them will eventually catch on. I'm just tired of her team giving up on era when they don't see commercial success. At the end of the day, she is still a streamable artist. She should definitely make like 3 or 4 more music videos for the album.

I hate this entire era. I just want it to be over.

Ugh, she didn't capitalise on I Bet's semi-success in the UK at all

One of the most annoying team her team did this era. Like the bitch could of been Top 20 or even Top 10 with TV promo in the UK. Even tweeting a link for UK fans, SOMETHING.

Ciara spoiled the UK during the Fantasy Ride era, but after that she always payed yall dust... it's so tragic!!! UGHHHHH

When I Bet premiered I thought she was gonna go with that, because I Bet is low key adult contemporary. But then it turns out the whole album is POP. Like what the heck lol

This album was so bad though (apart from a couple of songs)

Self titled was the perfect set up for her to come out and target both rnb and mainstream.
This album is do bad by ciara standards. It may be authentic and genuinely from the good vibes she is currently living with but it just wasn't what she needed in her career

I just hope c7 can backtrack and do what Jackie was supposed to. Cause let's face it - she's here to stay. I just hope she isn't here to be remembered as a flop

i just wish her team wasnt afraid to try and take promo risk that could potentially put her back on the right track..

Problem with Ciara is that she clearly doesn't know her audience and refuses to listen to her fans. Jackie, minus 2 or 3 songs is without a doubt the worst addition to her discography.. DLWML should of immediately followed I Bet as it reached its peak, and maybe things would of been different with the album... Instead she waited for months while I Bet literally flew out of the Top 200 and decreased at radio and then months later a random single is released, all the while the label is tweeting and releasing covers of a completely different second single.

I have no idea why EVERYTHING with Ciara's career is incredibly messy and unplanned. As a loyal fan from 2003/2004 i am incredibly frustrated and its going to take not only AMAZING music this time (which normally has NEVER been the problem) amazing strategies, and well chosen singles which are delivered correctly to actually get me interested again, and the 1000's of fans she has lost clearly feel the same..

Csquad was waiting for her and the label to grab her career by the balls and literally SLAY. Especially with the hopeful success and amazing quality of the self titled album..

Performance wise Ciara is probably the best out of the R&B girls of her generation. She does work alot but its all the wrong things she's doing.. That stupid show. a deodorant commercial, an incredibly low key local tour which done NOTHING to sell the album.. I mean why not just spend some money on promotion, get a little ratchet and curse out Future after delivering a song like I Bet.. EVERYONE expected her to open up a little and DELIVER not only musically but personality wise... Does she not have a publicist?? A manager? A Team? Where are they all?

How can Ashanti who is totally independent sell more albums from someone thats on a major label, fronted by LA REID.. Its mind boggling. Something is defo up behind the scenes, and i wouldn't be surprised if she is dropped tbh...
