That's what I thought, but it contains drums and Kieron's beats so it could be an "It was the blackest day until you saved me" type of bop?

Well she's already made it clear several times that she cares about writing and make music. She says in V she's already thinking about the next album. Therefore you shouldn't worry about her drive or ambition, she clearly has ton to create.
Also there's so many complaints about her video. BTD truly only had one grand video and that was the title track. Then we got Ride and Tropico. Otherwise her visuals have always been low key, so I don't get the criticism there.
She truly just cares about being an artist. Some acts fear touring and traveling, so there are stans who rarely get to see their fave live. Some don't like the aspects of promoting a record, like Lana, and just put all their energy into the music and performing so she does. Because that's her drive and passion and we should respect that.
She's not a "pop girl," never has been so these expectations of a huge Katy Perry type campaign and Gaga level music videos are honestly a shock to me from fellow fans/stans cause she literally has never been about that.
And I'm not saying anyone has said she is one, but when you say you need things like "gifs" as something to stan for.... That's how I interpret that. Why can't you just stan the beautiful music she creates? View her as a rock band of sorts. Fans of them don't expect gifs... or expensive big budget music videos. They don't care at all but for quality music.

You didn't lie, but visuals have always been a very important part of Lana's aesthetic. She's said so herself. It shouldn't be a surprise when some of us get upset when she no longer serves the same quality and quantity of visuals as before.
And the problem is that a lot of fans are still associating Lana with the Ultraviolence imagery. Honeymoon clearly has quite a different tone and atmosphere, so if she doesn't provide the adequate visuals to establish this contrast it can be confusing and off-putting for her fans.
The music is all that matters in the end, you're right, but we don't have jack **** at the moment. If she doesn't give us new music until the 18th, the least she could do is deliver some cute instagram selfies, tease some lyrics, share descriptions of the songs etc. Anything to hydrate the hunties.
She has so many facets available for her to express herself as an artistic individual -- why should it be
just music?
The V magazine & Nylon shoot is enough to hold me over for another week though. By then we'll have MTWBT, so I'm content for now
