She always sounds really confused and illogical. This explains her behavior on the show. There was a clip where she was talking about transgender people as if she's not one of them and then she said she wants to date men now now because it's what a "normal" woman does despite being sexually attracted to women. I feel sorry for her. She really wants to be "traditional," but she can't be.

I completely agree with you. It's difficult cause I really enjoy her show and consider myself a fan of Caitlyn cause of everything she's achieved and stuff and i do take an interest in her life etc... However on multiple occasions since the transition she's sort of stuck her foot in her mouth so to speak.
The bit on her show that you mentioned when she said she wanted to date a man cause it made her feel more womanly made me cringe so much, it was terribly awkward and could be taken quite offensively by those in her community. I think saying that is an incredibly warped and 'traditionalist' type of view.
And this thing on Ellen is very similar - I think she is aware of what she needs to say in order to be a good person and an accepted person in the community and as a bit of a figurehead in the fight for equality and LGBTQ community etc but you can tell deep down she has her reservations where gay marriage and probably gay rights overall are concerned.
Though I do think it's good that she is trying to be a good person and puts the happiness of people first. I guess that's a step in the right direction. it's just the whole thing is a little bit awkward and uncomfortable.
