I can relate to this. I want her to succeed for her, she deserves it, but I also hate it when I get an album by an artist I like and I'm left feeling disappointed (ARTPOP). Whereas PRISM was everything I could have hoped for and more, I can still play the album right through and love it.

Dance is also quite acclaimed if done right. It think it would be the best thing for her and her career as of now.

The one thing is if she wants to do a dance/house album specifically, she needs to hone in those dancing skills for performances. She's a great performer but that genre beckons much more strenuous types of performances which are demanding. I have faith she can do it though she just needs to want it and follow through.
