TPAB doesnt have filler. It may not be a 'bop' but all the songs on the album are necessary to progress the story. Its a concept album, removing some of the songs would **** up the flow of it.

I understand the hype, and I too think that TPAB > GKMC, but as ive said before, im never inclined to listen to it. Listening to it is like the equivalent of watching Schindlers List, I appreciate the theme of it , but its way too serious to listen to all the time. I think thats why alot of you guys dont like it, its Roots in audio form. The CD has no replay value whatsoever, but thats fine cause there are many classics that are like that.

also TPAB vs MBDTF comes down to preference for me. I find Kanyes album to be more enjoyable from an entertainment standpoint, but it aims for different themes and aesthetics. Theyre both masterpieces for entirely different reasons.

Most rap artist are overrated now a days. Not many to choose from. But Kendrick is legit. I wasn't feeling to pimp a butterfly as much as GKMC either but still it doesn't take away from his talents imo.

He's a very talented and wise guy without a doubt and a skilled rapper.

At the same time, I think that his material sometimes approaches something that would be in a museum, a respectable piece of work worthy of praise, but not necessarily something you want to engage with on the regular and I think that counts for something. Not to mention the fact that his features can be spotty.

That's how I feel about him anyway.

The nerve. Kendrick is not overrated, if anything he's extremely underrated (not by critics obviously). Everything he put out since his debut is dope and he proved that he'll go down as a legend with only two albums. His material is A+ and he deserves his massive acclaim. He's smart, hardworking, dedicated, talented and I could go on. The overrated ones are Macklemore and Drake, he literally ***** on both on them. So no, he's definetly not overrated and GKMC and TPAB are among the best albums released this decade
