I've seen people from SYG [the ones that are friends w/ the mean mods] create flamebait threads that get reported + the warning gets cleared + it stays open for long periods of time

No. If you report them and it's warnable they get warned from what I've seen.
Just because it hurts your feelings doesn't mean it's warnable.
