This'll be the first country airplay #1 ever.
There hasn't been a non-Hip-Hop/R&B song hit #1 on the Hot 100 Airplay since Big Girls Don't Cry, right? And before that wasn't it Smooth in 2000? 
What about Shanaynay? :-/

"Closer" by Ne-Yo. That song is more Pop then R&B or Hip-Hop.
