No honeyboo, don't get me wrong. I couldn't give two ***** about her chart success. I've always had this same attitude as you. But she's just becoming lazy, not just musically but especially visually. Her new music, although I love it, seems very uninspired and fails to capture the essence of LDR. It doesn't feel like she's in touch with the muse. Maybe it's because she feels like she has nothing to prove anymore.

Welp, I sound like that theneedledrop guy. Don't get me wrong sistren I love Lana but she just ain't doing it good with Honeymoon. I'll have to wait and see until the 18th I guess. We've only heard 3 songs after all.

I doubt we will get anything this week considering HM is being released this coming Monday, and MTWBT four days later.

Maybe reviews of the album

The only thing that bothers me is that I know she's capable of so much more. She's got some of the most original and interesting visions in the industry, and I'm sure she's got a lot of imagery in her head for the new songs too, but for some reason she doesn't let her full potential come through.

I have always loved and will continue to love Lana's music, but the beginning of her career was exciting visually too, and I miss that. I know the music speaks for itself, but I've always thought that her visuals were part of her art and she was exceptionally good at that. Since UV (although it's an outstanding album and easily her best) it feels like she just chucks the material onto iTunes and moves on, when the work itself has much more potential, and should be given a chance to come alive through live performances and music videos.

Still looking forward to Honeymoon, though.

I really hope! I wish she would talk about the album. Reasoning for its title, themes, song information, etc. even if she just used the HM insta a little more.

I really hope the songs flow into one another. HM has a very distinct ending and TLY has a very distinct opening, but the end of it, as well as the beginning and end of HBTB, seem to flow into and out of other songs. Yall know what I'm saying?

music videos are expensive. in times where records don't sell, big budget videos don't pay off.

since interscope / polydor ony make money off her album & singles sales, investing in music videos doesn't make sense.

she ain't on a 360 deal which means all her money from publishing, touring, merchandising and endorsements goes to her. artists who have signed such 360 deals fill the budget with these extra things for the label.
