My dad is homophobic and our relationship is a bit off. I usually ignore him when he tries it.

My parents are like the most homophobic and transphobic people I know. When something about LGBTQ stuff comes on the TV they go all uncomfortable and disgusted and I just lmao.

I dont talk to my extended family because they live in many different places so its hard to stay in touch. I only talk to my mother, father and brother, all of which are pro-gay rights and marriage. I have never had an issue with my family over any of my identities

Honestly, I haven't dealt with homophobia from 99% of my family members. Most are really cool, and many (including the ones I hadn't seen in nearly a decade) have met my boyfriend and loved him. I'm really lucky. As for the others, **** them.

Most of them have weak homophobic objections due to their religion (really their personal opinions). So I don't really care.
