Nothing beats the original. I love the second and third films as well. I'm really not sure why the second one gets so much hate from the GP. The remake was okay, but it is nothing compared to the original. New Nightmare was interesting to watch, but not necessarily scary, and Freddy vs. Jason is a whole other topic. It's one of those movies you watch with your friends for laughs during a movie night or something.
