Despite swirling rumors, an MTV exec says that the annual spectacle will continue in 2016.

Amid news of Viacom layoffs, low network ratings and MTV Iggy (a division of MTV World) shuttering, rumors are running rampant that this year may be the last for the Video Music Awards, the annual music video celebratory ceremony. Multiple sources tell Billboard that the VMAs may be in jeopardy after 2015.
