Effeminate is not exclusive to homosexual men, even though being homosexual is the most obvious form of being feminine. Contrary to popular belief, a lot of things that are deemed as being "manly" by society are actually feminine behavior. Like sports fantatics for example. Society makes it seem that if you're not into sports, you must be gay or a feminine male. Not only is being a sports fanatic idolatry (just like stanning), there's nothing masculine about cheering on another grown man hitting or bouncing a ball around all day or a grown man wearing a jersey with another grown man's name on it. If you really think about it...
