Lana is a mixture of many influences, same as Madonna. People make Madonna comparisons all the time, that doesn't mean she invented pop or everything she's done is original. People are free to pull from the past just as much as Madonna or Lana have done, there's so much that isn't in the forefront. But they don't, they take the easy way out and get it spoon-fed to them like people have been doing with Lana's own aesthetic for years now.
