Nah not salty. P!nk is something called "sarcastic" meaning it was a joke.
There was a lot of marijuana references and it would only make sense to joke that MTV would have bought up the market before such a promo.
It's like saying the owner of a hot dog eating contest bought the state's supply of Tums before the contest.
