Girl, I'm so tired of people saying this EVERY year.
Even in 2000, if you go back and read stuff, people said this same thing. "What has music come to? Talentless teen pop stars are the top sellers, and boybands are the biggest thing ever instead of true talent".
I'm sure when the 2000's VMAs aired, they said the same thing. "Wow, teenage girls acting messy, where's the true talent?". I'm sure in 15 years, yet again, people will pull the "What has music come to? Back in 2015, everything use to be amazing. We had true talent". It's such a tired argument.
Bottomline, people will always bash music in it's current time, it's a popular trend to ride. However, in a decade or two that same period will be praised (look @ the 90's movement practically). I was actually just watching a document in Dec. 1989 by MTV, reflecting on the 80's decade, and they continuously complained about what culture had became even then.
