Our defense against illegal immigration is too lax. There's about ten million undocumented immigrants in the US. I shouldn't even gave to say why it's a bad idea to have that many undocumented immigrants and with most of them not receiving the punishment they deserve for breaking the law.

It all depends on what country your from. My Chinese husband needs 2 interviews, over $250 in fees, bank statements proving he has the money for his trip and a detailed idea of the purpose of his trip including ALL the places he intends to stay (which if we were to take a road trip, means we would need to pre-plan our stopping points). It takes up 3-5 months to process. This is all just for a tourist visa too. Where as I, from Canada don't even need a visa and is even exempt from being fingerprinted and a photo taken at the border.

It is. All that instability in Mexico, C. America, and South America is continuing because of the failed War on Drugs. Horrible prison conditions are a result of the War on Drugs. Non-violent offenders being placed in prison and being exposed to violent offenders, which causes increased crime, is a result of the War on Drugs. Police being churned out of "training" not knowing the laws they're supposed to uphold is a result of the War on Drugs. The US having a disproportionate amount of people in prison is a result of the War on Drugs. The lack of any reform for mental illness is a result of the War on Drugs.

It most certainly is a pressing issue that effects almost everyone in the country, not just pot smokers or whatever reasoning you have for it not being a big ****ing deal.
