It will take a LONG time for the hole to go away, but it is no longer a major threat to humanity.

No they are not the same thing. Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), human-made chemicals once used for refrigerants, foam blowing, and other applications ultimately destroyed ozone not global warming.

Check out the 1987 Montreal Protocol treaty.

Even as the climate is changing, if you believe it is, the Ozone is repairing itself, not shrinking. The problem is it takes a very long time for CFCs go away, probably decades more to come but they are slowly reducing with each passing year.

I may be showing my age but we learned about this in elementary school (I was in first grade from 2000-2001). Did you guys not get the talk on CFCs and the ozone layer and DDTs and eagle eggs?

The only time the teachers thought us about the Ozone Layer was during Elementary and Middle School, and it was not a really detailed lesson lol. Since then, I've only heard about it a couple of times tbh. Sad, since people should be trying to make us more aware of the environment issues
