Industry insiders now say a major world tour looks “unlikely”, despite the huge offers explaining.
One source said: “The album may be coming out, but at this moment in time there are absolutely no concrete plans for a tour.
Promoters believe that demand for Adele could be so high that they would be able to charge more than £100 [$154] a ticket and still sell out huge arenas around the world - with the top tickets likely to be worth far more than that.
Our source added: “This is the tour that every promoter wants to bag - but at the moment nobody has had any success, despite offers of tens of millions of pounds. It’s one of those occasions where it isn’t about the money.”
The biggest casinos in Las Vegas, which have hosted the likes of Elton John and Celine Dion, are understood to want to secure her for a run.
Caesars Palace and MGM Grand have tabled deals of £500,000 [$770k] a night – while the Venetian is offering £750,000 [$1.1M].
