Didn't the VMAs change their voting process to fan-based votes sometime ago?
Madonna won't ever win in those fan-polls so I can see Bey breaking her record soon enough.

Idk if it was the VMAs or a different award show but I do remember that.
I think for the most part it is fan-votes unless the nominee doesn't show up at all.
