Everyone's meltdowns were so annoying though, I will never get why everyone was so up in arms about her not performing at the VMA's. Sure GFY had the potential to be her most successful single and the VMA's would given it a good push, but I'd rather her have an album campaign than focusing heavily on singles. I mean look at C&GI she promoted that so much and hyped it up and was everywhere! She had tons of things planned for it, but nothing planned for Stars Dance and the album sales were the lowest of her peers compared to DEMI and Bangerz.
She wants to promote the album and in order for people to take her seriously as a pop star that's exactly what she needs to do.
