People don't give a **** about your personality.
Think of all the jobs where someone's appearance will help them. It goes past modeling.
A person's appearance is valued above everything else about them whether people want to admit it or not. Do I like this? No, it sucks, it's horrible and it's irrational. But it's true.

Well yeah. But if you don't have substance to back it up, you're not going to last long. If you're a user, you'll lose your friends. If you're mean, you'll lose them. Looks draw us in but it's what the person says and does that makes us stay. Being beautiful won't stop you from being fired if you cost the company money by being a rude bitch.
But, like I've said, my really homely friend worked her way to the top in no time. She got promoted at least once a year. And by homely I mean ugly. She knows it. Stevie Wonder knows it. But she's awesome. Everybody that knows her would fight off an army for her. She earned the respect and loyalty of people. It wasn't given to her because of looks.
Now there are gorgeous people who are good people but they tend to be very rare. You don't work on yourself if you feel your looks will get you places.
