no one is shaming celebrities

what could it hurt for some of them to come out and say 'hey, i go to therapy and it's fine, you should too'.... you're lowkey just kind of perpetuating the sentiment that it should be kept private / keeping the stigma alive;
we need to treat therapy like routine doctor's check ups
i got my degree in psych so maybe I'm just more open about it in general but i go and visit a therapist once every six months. I used to go once a week when I was 16 cause I was really depressed, but now I go more infrequently because there's not that much of a need anymore, but let me tell you something: going and talking with someone about what you're going through at that time and just GETTING IT OUT OF YOUR BRAIN!!!!!! is SO. beneficial to your overall mental well being
we never realize how much we bottle up our emotions until things like this happen. remove the stigma around therapy and i think it would do wonders in mitigating these violent and catastrophic outbursts..... there's no need for these senseless tragedies to continue
