Now that gay marriage was passed by the Supreme Court, I'm hoping 2016 candidates will challenge not only gun laws, but mental health as well. Remember, people kill people, not guns...even if I don't agree with the laws concerning gun safety.

Completely agree. Unfortunately in media recently, these killers become mini-rock stars. Damned if we report on these heartbreaking stories, damned if we don't. What really needs to be discussed is the state of mental health and gun laws.

Much much harder to get hold of a gun in Europe. We had one school massacre in the UK (Dunblane) and bought in strict gun control.
I wish people would understand that, yes, if we outlaw guns people will still get them, but they won't be as readily available to people with mental illnesses if we had stricter gun control laws like you mentioned in the UK.

I feel like this is going to make race relations so much worse in the US too. All the rumors going around that he did it because she had made racist remarks toward him while he was employed are definitely going to fuel the fire. That's like the last thing this country needs right now.

Right. You can still hold a firearms licence here, but you have to have a good reason and a flawless mental health/crime record.
