I love how Teenage Dream era keeps getting bigger everyday

I cannot at her album sales in the US despite the amount of #1 hits she has.

And PRISM selling less than OOTB even though it had Roar and Dark Horse?!

PRISM sold well considering it was released during the uprise of streaming + one of the best selling albums of 2013

It sold 3 million copies, only Adele & Taylor topped this number

PRISM is almost 2x Platinum with only two big hits and a messy era, you tried it once again though.

Congrats to Katy! Only the 12th album this decade to reach it, an increasingly rare accomplishment.

To add some context for the chart junkies, for all the albums released in the last ten years (from Aug 16th 2005) there are 46 albums that have sold 3 million in the US so far. And only 12 released in this decade (since 2010) have done it. Obviously those released this decade have had less time to rack up the sales, but you can see the diminishing market makes it much less common for albums to hit milestones like 3 million.

There are certain albums that bring me back to specific moments in time. I remember blasting this album from beginning to end while dancing/singing around my living room back in August of 2010.

This was such an iconic era for her, and one that has left a mark on pop music forever.
