Police captain kills himself after Ashley Madison exposé
Quote:
A Texas police chief is believed to have killed themselves after hackers published the names of millions of members of the cheating website Ashley Madison.
San Antonio police captain Michael Gorhum died last week in an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to local news reports.
Captain Gorhum, a veteran of 25 years, was among 32 million members of the Canada-based adultery site whose emails and user account information were revealed by hackers.
I know the hackers think they were right for exposing countless people on there (the data's not even done dumping), but it really wasn't right. If they wanted some fame, they should just expose celebs and be done. Don't bring everyday people into this.
It's sad that it came to this but did those people expect Karma to not hit them back? Like I get that there are valid reasons for cheating but to seek it on a "special cheaters" website when they could seek the same thing on normal hookup apps is gross.

Here's the thing people, who says this, or any of it was about cheating?
The website hosted a bunch of different people looking for different things. Maybe he told his wife and they made up. However, they never told anybody else about their marriage. This isn't a marriage problem, this is a public image problem. He would go from a pillar of the community to well probably he wouldn't have dipped too far down but it still wouldn't be pleasant.
The problem is really you can say that everyone is a cheater and that their spouse didn't know at the time or wasn't told at some point. And even then, it's a private matter. Now instead of this being between a family it's between these affected and the whole world
