No. J.Lo is entertaining, but she's sort of a "meh" non-factor in the timeline of music history tbh. She's really lucky that she started when she did, and was able to ride that urban/pop wave in the late 90s and early 00s. She's also lucky that Tommy Mottola was looking for a personality to divert attention away from his ex Mariah.
JLo team took songs from other artists in the beginning of her career.
And of course Mariah losing the Firecracker sample for JLo's original version of I'm Real. She had a powerful team behind her.
OT: I don't think shes underrated, she has some bops.Vocally, I don't think she's very impressive.
Not ONE critically acclaimed album or even single (every single other girl has at least one.)
No respect from her peers (No Grammys, and let's not get into the acting side.)
She gets respect as a performer - so absolutely not. Never have I seen someone make so much off of so little. The audacity of this thread. (Still love you Joaq!)
That's a lie.
Waiting For Tonight says hello.
Which is as iconic and timeless than most people's discography. Let's not.
These lies, fallacies and half-truths have got to stop. When the two biggest aggregates say no, nobody can say yes.
Edit: The only Lopez on Acclaimed Music is Orlando "Cachaito" Lopez. Like, you could look this up (but it would not help your 'point,' so I see why you didn't ...)
The Rolling Stones, Slant Magazine, AllMusuc, Entertainment Weekly, Idolator, Variety, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Vh1, PopSugar, and many more all praised tho.

So not here for your late list.
You will deal.
1) You did no research - just hopped to Wikipedia for your "stats."

does not equal "this is one of the best of the year/decade."
3) How many year end lists did it appear on? From the research I did, not that many - if any at all.
Since you cannot dispute my FACTS, let's just admit I'm right and move on. Nothing but love for you!

Love? Bitch bye. You come downplaying Jennifer's career every chance you can get.
My point stands. It was critically acclaimed contrary to what you believe. #1 on the worldwide chart. Iconic video / Y2K anthem. And was nominated for a Grammy.
I don't think there's a soul in this world who would say this track alone is/was not a masterpiece. It slays most people's discography's tbh.

Yeah, you can't call me - or anyone else - that word.
Like, I don't understand why actual stans have to "combat" factual analysis with personal insults. Will never understand that.
She has an outstanding discography and can outperform most, if not all of our faves. She is criminally underrated and people underestimate her and her impact just because of one bad era.
