Looking back, it is rather impressive that Madonna was able to keep her personal life together all this time. It's not usual for most long-term pop stars to keep it together for so long. Especially the ones that emerged in the 80s.
She was built for stardom, she has the discipline of an athlete and the mental fortitude of an escaped ISIS hostage. It consumes others, like MJ and Britney.
She still wont have nearly the amount of impact as Michael. Ever.

Ehh you can try to measure impact but Madonna is certainly one of those people where it's beyond measure. I'd say Madonna influenced society, removed from music, a lot more than Michael did. Whereas he has had more musical impact.

You can say whatever youd like that doesnt make it any less nonsense. Madonna's influence isn't nearly as universal or wide as Michael's in any aspect. Outside of music included. The sparkly glove alone is more iconic and recognizeable to everyone than ANY Madonna moment. Ever.

every new artist is constantly mentioning Michael as a huge inspiration and it's been like that even before he died

I don't think Madonna's death will be some kind of awakening where everyone remembers her amazing discography. Too many of her songs are stuck in their decade. Maybe a few days of nostalgia, and then nothing.
