Never trust them in professional settings. They will try to **** you over to cover up their own insecurities. I used to work for someone who was so insecure about being younger than most of the people she supervised that she would lie about her age and treat everyone like **** because she thought it made her seem more mature and professional. But she would also be extremely manipulative about it, work you up into a frenzy thinking you were about to get fired and needed to do 10,000 things at once to keep your job, and then report you for being "too stressed".

I told a guy he looked like Alec Baldwin and he flipped **** and was like "wow thanks for telling me I look like ****" and just kept mumbling and putting himself down even though I told him I didn't mean it like that. He would blatantly say how he's insecure about the way he looks but at the same time it's like "GROW A PAIR"

Oh there's a few harrowing experiences that come to mind.

I have a close female friend who I recently helped get together with this guy she's liked for months. And she asked me recently before an exam if I liked him as a person, and I said not particularly. And she looked at me as though I'd killed her friend or something. She started accusing me of being jealous of everyone since I am "bitter at people with relationships".
I got agitated and said i don't care about people or their crappy relationships which will fizzle out In. A month. She started crying saying I don't appreciate her. It was like you wanted my opinion then got annoyed by it?

Omg this reminds me of when a guy hit on me, we were at his house having a beer as friends and suddenly he put his arms around me, I was into him too so I turned around to face him but I think I brushed him away by accident while turning...he thought I was pushing him away, and he immediately "oh, you're not attracted to me". It actually turned me off

I knew someone like that but looking back, I don't think it was insecurity. I think she was just fishing for compliments.

Omg. I used to work with this extremely insecure girl.

She was leave work to go get dermatologist procedures done and lie about it because she didn't want anyone to know she was trying to get better skin.

Reapplied her make-up once every two hours and constantly looked in the mirror. It was just too much.

And she fished for compliments like no other and then got mad if you complimented her. False modesty to the extreme.

People are constantly pressed by Taylor success on ATRL. It's tiring.

I've had a few patients who TRASH and DRAG themselves to the ground. It was so hard to deal with them tbh

Back in high school I used to have this sick one way friendship with a girl who really annoyed me and used me as her emotional cushing by telling me absolurely all of her isssues as if I was her shrink or something but I kinda felt bad for her so I didn't really want to make her even more insecure by telling her her delusional stories she is convinced happened were ridiculous af and no one would ever buy them.

This kept going for years until I found a loophole when she stood me up once so I decided it was time to cut off all ties with her
