Not a glitch just a continued selloff from last week combined with the Chinese and European markets tanking.
Mostly tough this is a long overdue correction in our market. If it drops below 12,000, in the next few weeks, then I would start to wonder if bigger things are at play here.
Remember for the past 6-7 years the Fed has been artificially pumping up the markets with quantitative easing (QE) with 85 billion dollars a month and the ride had to end eventually.
Personally I don't think this is a bad thing, I think if you are going to buy stocks for the long haul you wait this out and buy at a discount. My stocks are getting hit but not hammered, where some are losing 6-7%, I'm losing 1-3% of my value which is still 100,000's of dollars but nothing to panic about since I will just buy more when they bottom out. If the Dow starts crashing below 12,000 I might have to start selling, I don't know where the floor is after that it could be 5,000.
