She's a dancer and rapper in a singing group that, as a whole, can't dance well. It'd be like making Victoria belt on ballads...

Besides, Hyoyeon has her own agenda, as does Sooyoung. It's Yuri that deserves it: Until this comeback, she literally had no standing in the group. Now she's getting actual lines, solo parts, and screen time despite being billed as a vocal/lead dancer. So, really if you need a subunit that could work, you'd need Yuri, and one of the lead singers who can actually dance (SeoHyun).

That or push the envelope and make a 4-5 member subunit: SYSH (SeoHyun/Yuri/Sunny/Hyoyeon), SSS (SeoHyun/Sooyoung/Sunny), SooYuSeoHyoYoon
