A drama series that takes a darkly comical look at members of a dysfunctional California family that runs an independent funeral home.
Can't believe this AMAZING show doesn't have a thread. Quite possibly my first or second favorite show of all-time. The acting, deaths, humor, and dramatics are flawlessly done and while Season 5 is the weakest season, the finale saves it since it is the most emotional thing I have ever seen brought to television. Any fans of the show?
This is hands-down my favorite show ever aired. I think ATRL's demographic is a little young to remember it but
If you are reading this, have not seen Six Feet Under and have Amazon Prime Streaming or HBO...go start this show immediately. You won't regret it. Most emotional five seasons of TV ever, without being manipulative. The only piece of visual media to make me bawl like a baby.
For those who have seen the show...
Who is your favorite character and why is it Brenda?
Yeah I think this plus
the carjacking plot line
makes Season 4 the weakest season easily. It's still better than most TV seasons though and Season 5's epicness made up for it.
Oh this show. I've heard about it.
Haha just kidding. One of my all time favorites. I've watched the entire series twice already
The volume 2 soundtrack is also amazing

Ruth is my fave. David, Brenda, and Claire are behind though.
I'm pretty sure they left it purposely vague/unanswered as a reminder that sometimes we don't know what happens. I think it adds to Nate's story more later.
But (for those who have seen the whole series) can we talk about this:
I still can't listen to this without tearing up tbh.
One of the most beautiful songs ever being connected to the best show ever This is how I first got into Sia, too.

The only time Breathe Be will ever be effective in any type of art. The final scene of the show is just so damn depressing. It always makes me wanna binge watch the show again though.
One of my favorite TV series ever. Watched it this spring withing two weeks only... also had really dark times back then and SFU honeslty kinda helped me

Yeah the show suffers a liiiiiittle from the convenience factor. Things don't always happen organically, you can tell the writers were like "what can we toss in there that'll really tug at the audience's heart strings?" Amazing television regardless.
