Katy. I think Madonna sounds bored on stage, despite being very active and charismatic, while Katy sounds like she's having fun and enjoying it despite failing to hit the notes at times.

Let's not forget she actually had a peak in the 90s with Evita, where she actually sounded good.

Katy hasn't and will never have a vocal peak

Madonna has Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray Of Light, and the middle arc of American Life. They're not Whitney/Mariah vocals but they're interesting, emotive, and subtle.

Katy has ha roars.

Madonna has actually had decent vocal performances in the past. Also she does choreography and what not during her performances while Katy Perry already painfully struggles once the song begins to play.

Katy Perry is a better vocalist.

Katy has even admitted last year that Gaga "keeps her on her toes as a performer" so don't even try to drag an acclaimed and talented vocalist like Gaga because your fave struggles on stage everyday and couldn't outsing or outperform Gaga to save her life.

With Katy it's not just her vocal technique that's lacking... she's a bit tone deaf. Madonna has pitch issues, but I feel like she tries to correct them, but Katy doesn't even realize.
