Maybe she should stay in Canada and out of our politics because she didn't do the left any good with that display.

The rabbi doing a Christian wedding thing? That's a ridiculous comparison. It's ignorant. It fails to account for the fact that when Christian clergy are asked to be involved with a wedding between two men, it's because one or both
are Christian and have asked either their own church or another of their same denomination. It makes no sense because Christians wouldn't have a reason to ask a rabbi to be present at their wedding, just as a gay couple that is atheist wouldn't ask Christian clergy. Muslim clergy are not asked to perform rites for another religion.
It's not what we're talking about. The thing is, not all gay men and women are atheist, and not everyone thinks that being a Christian and being gay are mutually exclusive (because they are, in fact, not).
His comments on ISIS and Iran were ignorant and not a drag. The presence of a more violent or notable threat does not immediately warrant every ounce of attention that a cause can muster (since he's essentially saying we should focus on that and not at all on continued discrimination in the U.S.). Do you know who else ISIS has executed? Women, children, families - anyone who steps out of the terrifyingly stringent bounds that they define. Iran, additionally, is not receiving money for the purpose of killing the people he calls "homosexuals." They have not received a single penny from "the Obama administration" that has contributed toward the killing of "homosexuals." And there are plenty of voices on "the left" discussing the global treatment of LGBT+ people, and women, and other oppressed peoples. We can talk about more than one issue at a time.
